Chicago Bears: Player Most Likely To Break Out In 2014

In his first season as head coach of the Chicago Bears Marc Trestman benefitted by the breakout performances of rookie right guard Kyle Long and second year receiver Alshon Jeffery.  Those two were major contributors in a Bears offense that ranked No. 2 in the NFL in points scored. The 445 points that team scored were also the second highest total in franchise history.

Key for a new or relatively unknown player to break out and claim his share of attention is opportunity and the ability to take advantage of it. For the Bears in 2014 the main opportunities exist on defense and as a kick/punt returner. First, here are a few players who at least have the opportunity, whether they take advantage or not…
